Japan, Empire. An Order Of The Golden Kite, V Class consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac April/June 1983(Kinshi kunsho). Instituted in 1890. Three piece construction, in silver with red, yellow, white, green, violet, light blue and dark blue enamels, measuring 46. 3 mm (w) x 50 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally pierced ball suspension, crazing and chipping evident in the red enamels on the ray behind the falcon's head and on the flag and a few rays on the right side, original ribbon with hook and eye, fine.
