Liatris pycnostachya 'Lavender Glowsticks' is an incredible new seed strain of prairie blazing star, discovered by plantsman Hans Hansen in Illinois. For us, the wonderfully sturdy stems top out at 6' tall in mid June much more rigid than any of the other forms of this species we've grown. Of the 6' height, the bottom 4' is clothed with the narrow, 5" long leaves, which circle the stems. The top 2' is laden with literally
