Founded in Boston in 1885, the Kniesel Quartet moved its residence city to New York in 1903, and was finally dissolved in 1917. Large photograph signed by all 4 members in the 1910s, including founder Franz Kniesel (1st violin, member from 1885 through 1917), Hans Letz (2nd violin, member 1912 1917),
