The exceptional mildness and sunshine of March and the first two weeks of April favoured a very rapid development of the vines. The drop in temperatures at the end of April had no consequences and unlike 2016, the frost spared the vineyard. With temperatures still high, the vine's development cycles during the vegetation phase were dazzling (early and rapid flowering at the end of May beginning of June and "lightning"
