Constructed of gilded and silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Kriegsmarine eagle clutching a mobile swastika, around a frontal depiction of a battleship cutting through waves, the reverse with a ball hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Richard Simm & Shne, Gablonz, measuring 44. 08 mm (w) x 58. 02
