Spain, Spanish State. A Civil Order of Health, Commander Archive featuring a 250 mm nickel-plated(Orden Civil de Sanidad). Instituted July 27, 1943. In bronze gilt and enamels, a white enamel cross with ball finials and three rays in each quadrant, the obverse medallion presents Spanish insignia encircled by a red enamel ring inscribed AL MERITO SANITARIO, reverse presenting a blue enamel disc with Spanish insignia, surmounted by a partially green enamelled wreath, measures 45. 6 mm (w) x 67. 8 mm (h), worn on original neck ribbon, loss of gilt
