We are big fans of the interesting dials that Rolex made for their time-only watches in the 1950s and 60s

This is a lovely reference 1016 from 1965 with a great case with even lugs and a nice smooth bezel

The case is super fat and the bezel has faded nicely to a blue/grey matte hue

The case and bezel both remain in strong condition

The watch is fitted with a Mk3 so called radial dial, which gets its name from the fact that the hour markers are positioned more towards the centre of the dial; you can see a big gap between the plots and the minute markers. These dials were made for a short period and were placed in a very specific serial range ,as per this watch.
