1893 Chicago Worlds Fair Venezuela's Building Bolivar ORIGINAL HISTORIC FAI4 CAT2 Coming to Nueva Granada as"Venezuela's Building." This is an original 1893 halftone print of the Venezuela Building at the 1893 Chicago Worlds Fair. The print shows the statue of General Bolivar on the east pavilion; on the western one, behind the foliage, was a companion effigy showing Christopher Columbus. The flag carried by Pizarro, in his conquest of Peru, was on exhibition. (Please note that, typical of halftone prints, there is printing on the reverse.) Period Paper has
