I kept the original colour (although this had probably been updated by it's previous owner) on the top but added some original 1970s wallpaper flowers as they matched the colour so well (a sort of olive/ khaki colour)

They also come in an original 1950s christmas tin (Alpine design)

I have had these a while and think they were Swedish
