Instituted 25 October 1915 by Prince Leopold IV. (1915 1921 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original non combatants ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Cross Patte with pebbled arms, overlaid by a central wreathed Lippe rose, topped by the monogram of Prince Leopold IV and situated above a date of 1914, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of TREUE BEWHRT IN
