He began painting at the age of nine and enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts at the age of twelve. He graduated as a painter and decorator in 1973 and became a theater designer. Like many of his colleagues, he experienced the destruction of his works, as art was then very strictly regulated and contemporary art was censored. He works in watercolor, dry pastel and Indian ink; all these techniques are
