The Minceta Tower is also pictured in the upper left corner. The walls are 1,940 meters long and encircle the city. The Minceta Tower was constructed by a local builder named Nicifor Ranjina and Italian engineers that Pope Pius II sent to Dubrovnik in 1463. Photography by O. Holbach.
