A circular Mid Victorian Era brooch constructed of silver and agate with a central orange coloured gemstone. The obverse is constructed of agate with a scalloped silver design separating the agate into six sections. The silver bears acanthus designs. The center features a large orange coloured, old European cut gemstone in a 12 prong setting. The reverse bears the inscription Lizzie Sutherland in Gothic font
